John Stothers

John has a long history with Christian camping, starting as a 9-year-old camper at Forest Home in California. Since then, John has facilitated worship for dozens of conferences and family camps, including some at Mount Hermon in northern California.

As writer, performer, and producer, John Stothers has managed an eclectic career in the arts. He has created, produced, directed, and performed in a wide range of musical theater works and recordings, as well as designed landscapes, kitchens, and murals for a variety of clients.

In 2006, John staged the first presentation of his rock-musical Pilgrim in Hollywood, as well as composed the music for the new “Shamu” show in San Diego and elsewhere. This year, John has turned the comedy, “Thunderbabe,” about a superhero housewife, into a musical that opened in the Bay Area in May.

John is a member of the Dramatist’s Guild, Screen Actor’s Guild, and founder of an artist’s forum called The Bak Haus.

He and his wife, Sandy, are raising two strapping lads (Caleb, 17, and Rawlin, 15), vegetables, roses, and a dozen chickens in their old Pasadena home.
